The Harmony Initiative was formed through the work of Ifty Rafiq and involves a network of people across the UK who are keen to ensure all faiths coexist alongside secular beliefs in diverse communities. The Harmony Initiative will:

• educate the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different faiths;
• Promote knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths.
